Planning your wedding

The Planning Toolkit, shortlist, guest list, wedding website, and your data.

Is the Planning Toolkit really free?

Yes — completely. There's no paid couple tier, no in-app purchases, no premium upsell. You'll never be charged for anything you do as a couple on Perfect Wedding Day.

We make money when suppliers upgrade their listing to Premium — that's what funds the platform, including the Planning Toolkit.

How do I save a supplier to my shortlist?

Open any supplier listing and tap the bookmark icon, or click Save to My Wedding on the detail page. Saved suppliers appear in your shortlist on the Planning Toolkit dashboard. You'll need to be signed in to save — if you're not, we'll prompt you with a quick free signup.

Will my wedding website be findable on Google?

No. Couple wedding websites are deliberately set to noindex, meaning Google, Bing, and other search engines skip them. They're not in our sitemap or internal search either.

The page is accessible to anyone who has the URL, though, so be thoughtful about how you share it — and assume anything you publish could be re-shared by a guest.

Can I change my wedding theme later?

Yes, any time. The Planning Toolkit lets you switch between 10 themes from the Theme picker, and the change is instant — no republish required. Your guests see the new theme the next time they refresh.

How do I add my guests?

Go to the Guests tab in the Planning Toolkit. Add names manually one by one, or paste in a list. For each guest you can record contact info, dietary needs, plus-one details, and RSVP status as it comes in.

There's no cap on guest count.

Do my guests get spam after I add them?

No. We never email guests directly. Guest data is stored solely for you to manage privately inside the Planning Toolkit. Your guests will only ever hear from us if you specifically choose to send them something — for example by sharing your wedding website URL with them.

Can suppliers see who saved their listing?

Suppliers see a count of saves in their analytics, but they never see which individual couples saved them. Your shortlist is private until you initiate contact.

Is my data shared with suppliers I haven't contacted?

No. Suppliers only see your information if you actively send them an enquiry. Saving a listing, viewing it, or browsing the directory doesn't share anything with any supplier.

How do I delete my couple account?

Sign into the Planning Toolkit, open Settings, and click Delete account. Everything is removed permanently — shortlist, timeline, budget, guest list, to-dos, and your wedding website. It cannot be undone.

If you'd rather just take a break, you can sign out and your data stays intact for whenever you come back.

Can I print my guest list or itinerary?

Yes. Both have dedicated print views — use the Print buttons on the Guests and Timeline tabs. They produce A4-ready PDFs you can hand to your venue, planner, or toastmaster.

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

Click Sign In, then Forgot password, and we'll email you a reset link.

If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If our email system is currently delayed (see the banner at the top of the page), please email hello@perfectwedding.day directly and we'll help you in personally.

How do I contact a supplier?

Open their listing and tap Get in touch. You can send a message, and they receive your contact info to reply. We don't charge for enquiries — you talk to suppliers directly, no commission, no middleman.

Listings, Premium, and getting found

How the directory works, how Premium pays you back, and how to keep your listing in top shape.

How do I claim my pre-existing listing?

If we already have a listing for you, you may have received a claim link by email. Click it to verify ownership and unlock the supplier dashboard.

If you didn't get one, search for your business on our directory and click Is this you? on your listing — or email hello@perfectwedding.day and we'll send a fresh claim link.

What's the difference between a free and a Premium listing?

Free includes the basics: name, category, location, contact details, a description, and the standard hero image.

Premium adds: a photo gallery, extended description (up to 1,500 characters), social links, custom call-to-action URL, Premium badge, higher search priority, and eligibility for the homepage carousel rotation.

How much is Premium?

£50 per year (inc. VAT), billed once at upgrade. It doesn't auto-renew — we email you before expiry so you can decide whether to renew. There are no per-lead, per-booking, or per-conversion fees on top.

Is Premium refundable?

No. All Premium payments are final and non-refundable for any reason during the 12-month period. We're upfront about this so there are no surprises — see our Terms of Use for the full wording.

If you're not sure, stay on the free tier first. There's no pressure to upgrade and your free listing stays live indefinitely.

How do I get more enquiries?

Most-impactful actions, roughly in order:

  • Upload a strong hero photo — well-lit, wide, no people in front of the camera.
  • Write a longer description with specific details about your style, process, and coverage area.
  • Add a phone number — couples are roughly 3x more likely to enquire when they can see one.
  • Upgrade to Premium to unlock the gallery and search priority.

If you'd like a quick personal review of your listing, email us.

Can I have more than one listing?

One listing per business. If you operate distinct brands — e.g. two separate photography studios with different teams — you may have one listing per brand. Email us first so we can set it up cleanly for couples browsing.

How are suppliers ordered in search results?

Premium suppliers appear first within each category. Within Premium, ordering is shuffled randomly on each visit so no single supplier ever dominates the top slot.

Within the free tier, we order by claim status (claimed listings first), then by quality signals like description length, image quality, and recency of update.

Can I take my listing offline temporarily?

Yes. Go to your supplier dashboard and toggle Listing live off. The listing is hidden from search, and direct links return a not-found page, but everything stays stored ready for when you turn it back on.

Note: Premium time still ticks while your listing is offline — pausing the listing doesn't pause the subscription.

How do I respond to a couple's enquiry?

Enquiries are emailed to your registered contact address with the couple's reply info. You reply by email directly to them — we don't intermediate after the introduction. No platform-based messaging tax, no commission.

How do I update my photos or description?

Sign in to your supplier dashboard. You can change anything live without re-approval. Photo uploads go through our processing pipeline automatically — resized, compressed, and WebP-converted — so quality stays high and page loads stay fast.

How do I cancel Premium?

Premium doesn't auto-renew — there's nothing to cancel. We email you 30 days before expiry. If you don't renew, your listing simply reverts to the free tier on the renewal date with no further charge.

Why isn't my listing showing up in search?

Most common reasons:

  • It's still in the moderation queue (usually less than 24 hours after submission).
  • The category or location filter the couple's using doesn't match what's on your listing.
  • The listing is set to offline on your dashboard.
  • The description is too thin for our quality bar.

If none of those apply, email hello@perfectwedding.day with your business name and we'll take a look directly.

About Perfect Wedding Day

The platform itself

Who we are, how we make money, and what we do and don't do.

Are you based in the UK?

Yes. Perfect Wedding Day is a UK-focused directory and planning toolkit serving UK couples planning weddings in the UK and Channel Islands. Our servers are in the EU, and every listing on the directory is a UK-based business.

Are listings verified?

Listings are moderated for content quality, but we do not verify suppliers' credentials, insurance, references, or work history — that responsibility sits with you as the couple. Some suppliers have claimed their listing (meaning they've verified ownership of the contact email); look for the Claimed badge on the listing page.

Before booking anyone for something as significant as your wedding, always do your own due diligence: read independent reviews, ask for references, confirm insurance, and meet them.

How do I report a bad supplier or fake listing?

Use the contact form and tell us which listing, and what's wrong. We take credible reports seriously and will investigate, though we can't always share the outcome publicly. Suppliers found to be misrepresenting themselves are removed.

How do I get in touch?

Email hello@perfectwedding.day or use our contact form. We aim to respond within two working days, usually faster.

Do you offer wedding planning services yourselves?

No — we're a directory and toolkit, not a planning agency. We don't take bookings, hold deposits, or coordinate vendors on your behalf.

If you'd like a wedding planner, browse our Wedding Planners category and contact one directly.

Why is the Planning Toolkit free for couples?

Because our economic model is built around suppliers — they pay £50 a year if they want a Premium listing, and that funds the whole platform. We don't think couples should pay to plan something as personal as a wedding, so the toolkit is free, no asterisk.

How do you make money?

Supplier Premium subscriptions, £50 per year, optional. That's it. No ads, no data selling, no commission on bookings, no pay-per-lead. The free Planning Toolkit for couples is funded entirely by Premium suppliers.

Where can I read your privacy policy and terms?

Both are linked from every page footer: Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Both cover couples and suppliers separately, including how we handle guest data and wedding-website publication.
