St Andrews Town Hotel
Venue · Worcestershire
Droitwich Spa takes its name from the town’s historic connection with salt, further cemented in the 1800s when John Corbett opened the renowned brine baths. These baths were instrumental in putting the ‘Spa’ into Droitwich Spa and were originally used to treat a range of illnesses, including polio, before later becoming a leisure facility in the 1980s. Although the baths closed in 2008, the town’s legacy of health and wellbeing remains an integral part of its identity today.
