The Worlds End, Almer
Venue
The World’s End is one of Dorset’s most celebrated country pubs, standing proudly at the “Gateway to Dorset” just off the A31 between Wimborne and Bere Regis. Part of the historic Charborough Estate, the pub is steeped in character and heritage. With origins dating back to the 14th century, it is believed to be the oldest pub in Dorset. During the Second World War, it is even rumoured that Winston Churchill and Dwight D. Eisenhower met here to discuss preparations for D-Day.
